Tech Tour SHIGA, an industrial tour consulting service for overseas companies has been launched!

Shiga Prefecture will take advantage of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will bring many foreign companies, organizations, and government officials to Japan, as an opportunity to promote business exchanges between companies in Shiga Prefecture and companies from all over the world. We have started the ”Tech Tour SHIGA” industrial tour consulting services to suggest places to visit in the prefecture that meet the needs of foreign companies.

Shiga Prefecture, in collaboration with JETRO Shiga, offers tailored site visit recommendations to overseas companies and government officials considering business exchanges with local enterprises in the prefecture. We also facilitate coordination with relevant stakeholders to meet your needs. 

We can respond to a wide range of needs from overseas companies, such as ”companies in Shiga Prefecture” and ”learning about leading technologies” to more specific needs including ”considering joint research partners” and ”exploring suppliers of products”.

Please note that we do not handle arrangements for meals, sightseeing facilities, accommodations, interpreters, transportation.

If you wish to visit a company that is not on the list, please contact us and we will coordinate your visit accordingly.

1. Contact the Tech Tour SHIGA secretariat ([email protected]) with the name of the representative, possible dates, number of people, purpose of visit, and specific destinations in English or Japanese.

2. The secretariat selects potential destinations for tours according to your requests.

3. Coordinate with you and the company or sites you wish to visit to determine the content of your visit.

4. Finalize the content of the visit.
